The All Progressives Congress, Kano State chapter is set to axe the immediate past Governor of the state and Senator representing Kano Central Senatorial District, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The Senator is being accused of misconduct and attempt to undermine President Muhammadu Buhari during his condolence visit to present Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Monday.
Addressing journalists on Thursday, Chairman of the APC in the State, Haruna Umar Doguwa, and the acting Chairman of elders committee Audu Kirare, stated that “As you have all witnessed, quite a number of high and mighty across the width and breadth of Nigeria came to Kano and condoled with the Governor over the loss of his mother.

“The only unfortunate incident was the visit of the immediate past governor, Senator Engr. Rabiu Kwankwaso. What specifically made the visit a misdemeanor to our party’s spirit of discipline and brotherhood was the fact that the visit was purely political as against the mission of condolence.
“We wish to state unequivocally that the leadership of the pary was not officially informed about the intention of the senator to pay a condolence visit to the bereaved governor, let alone the display of seemingly presidential campaign slogans and chanting of hatred and vituperations against Governor Ganduje
