Nigerian National ID Card: How To Use Your Phone And Print Your National ID Card Via NIMC Mobile App

Nigerians can now use their mobile phone to access their National ID cards without long queue, according to the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).


NIMC launched a mobile app that can help Nigerians access their original National Identification with their photograph, then print it on paper or plastic.

This development came many years after a lot of Nigerians complained of not having their National ID card after registering for a long time.

If you want your Nigerian National ID card, follow this simple steps below.

Download the NIMC mobile app

The first thing you need to do is to download the NIMC mobile app from Google Play Store, if you're an Android user.

Insert your NIN number and phone number

After you have installed the app, the next step is to type in your National Identity Number (NIN) written on your National Identity slip or you can dial *324# on your registered SIM phone.

Then you will type in your registered phone number. (The number you registered your National ID with).

Read the Attestation and enter your pin

The next step is to read the attestation and then click on "I Agree" to continue. Then you can enter any pin number of your choice, make sure you don't forget this pin - click on "Finish" to go to the last stage.

Last stage

In the final stage, you will see all the menu that is in NIMC Mobile ID app. All you need to do is to click on 'Show my ID' and your national ID card will be ready for you to download and print out on paper or plastic. That's all!

Remember, it's only for those that applied for national ID card can get the national identity number to use in downloading the ID card.

If you don't have your NIN, you need to get your National ID card Enrollment that is ree of charge, according to the NIMC Head of Corporate Communications, Kayode Adegoke.
