BREAKING News: Ali Modu Sheriff Gains Control of PDP's National Secretariat in Abuja
Sheriff who was the chairman before the party’s national convention held in Port Harcourt being May 21, was however prevented from gaining entrance to the secretariat by security operatives.
New reports reaching us reveals that Ali Modu Sheriff has finally gained access to the national secretariat of the party as he told reporters at the secretariat that he was resuming duties based on a court order.
It was gathered that he left the secretariat and reportedly went to see the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase. He returned to the secretariat at around noon, but police officers insisted they would only allow him to enter the secretariat if his supporters dispersed from the area.
The former Borno governor, thereafter left the secretariat at about 12:25 pm and returned shortly after the supporters had dispersed.
He is presently in the office of the national chairman in Wadata Plaza and would speak to the press soon.
