PDP Blasts APC in Reaction to the Rescue of Abducted Chibok Girl
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reacted to the rescue of Amina Ali, one of the abducted Chibok girls by the Nigerian army.
Amina was rescued in the Sambisa Forest, close to the border with Cameroon on Tuesday, May 18.
The PDP congratulated the Nigerian army for a good job but criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC) for playing politics with the security of Nigerians. The PDP via its social media said the APC claimed there was no weapon and that the infamous Dasukigate saga rendered the army powerless.
It said the clearance of Sambisa by the army and the rescue of the Chibok girl showed that the army is well equipped as against the claim by the APC government that the army was ill equipped due to the misappropriation of fund meant for the purchase of arms.

Now we ask, didn’t they say the last administration did not buy arms for the military? With which arms did the army rescue Amina? #DasukiGate
- PDP Nigeria (@PdpNigeria) May 19, 2016
For the past one year, Nigerians no longer hear propaganda that our troops are running out of ammunition to fight Boko Haram. #DasukiGate - PDP Nigeria (@PdpNigeria) May 19, 2016
The opposition must never de-market our nation in the eyes of the world. It also must not ridicule Nigerians in its quest for power.
- PDP Nigeria (@PdpNigeria) May 19, 2016
The lies & propaganda of the then opposition @APCNigeria made nations to stop selling arms to Nigeria. The image of our nation was affected.
- PDP Nigeria (@PdpNigeria) May 19, 2016
We had to approach black market to buy arms for the Nigerian military.
