Wike’s Hotel In Edo Surrounded By 300 Policemen

According to Governor Wike of River State, the hotel which he is lodging in while on official assignment in Benin, Edo state has been held siege by over 300 policemen.

Wike made this known via his official Twitter account a few minutes ago.

The Hotel where the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike is lodging while on official assignment in Benin, Edo State has been held siege by over 300 Police men.

According to the Twitter account “security agencies have decided to harass and intimidate Governor Wike who has not done any wrong.”

Saturday, September 19, 2020 is the date for the Edo state gubernatorial election. The keenly contested election will see the incumbent Godwin Obaseki and APC’s Osagie Ize-Iyamu battle it out after months of bitter politicking.
