Prophetess Reveals Men Still Make Passes At Her, Explains Why
Fast rising gospel artist Morenike Adeleke who describes herself as a prophetess, is a medical practitioner. Morenike who just released another album disclosed that her beauty is not physical.
According to Punch, she further disclosed that her stage name ‘Egbin Orun’, is a name she got for herself because of her beauty which means ‘Beauty of Heaven’ because she knows she is not only beautiful on the outside but from within. Speaking on the many challenges she is facing in the music industry,
Morenike said: “My experience in the industry in the last few years that I have taken it professionally has been challenging. Despite my call as a prophetess, could you believe that men still make passes at me? It’s unbelievable. Men are unpredictable. They are always on my neck. But with my call, I handle them politely.” Addressing the issue of indecent dressing by her fellow gospel artist, Morenike explained that such people who dress suggestively of indecently are the cause of their own misfortune.
She said: “Gospel artistes that flaunt their beauty are the cause of their own misfortune. The Holy Bible says we should make our beauty a hidden one. It’s not until you go unclad that people will appreciate you as being beautiful. You don’t go about sing-praising your own beauty, people around should be the judge.” Speaking on her goal as an artist, the gospel singer revealed that her music is basically about salvation adding that she would love everybody to have God in their hearts.
Morenike said: “My music is basically about salvation. It’s a music that is laced with prayer points on salvation. My line of music isn’t to entertain people. Rather, it is to preach the word of God and His salvation. That is why I want to inform those that engage in lewd music that they could still praise God with and make the world a beautiful place to dwell, with everybody having God in their hearts.” Morenike Adeleke further added that she admires Tope Alabi and also urged Nigerians to watch out for her album presentation which is set to take place at the Reformed Wonderful Church, Ikotun.
