A reminder, No National Identity Card, No travel- Nigerian Immigration and NIMC

A reminder, No National Identity Card, No Travelling - Nigerian Immigration and NIMC.

For anyone who wants to acquire the Nigerian International Passport shall be required to enter their 11 digits National Identification Number (NIN) on their application forms before their applications can be registered and properly documented.
Those who are yet to get their Plastic ID card, as from 2012 to date, or you Misplaced your Phone number, and you were not able to retrieve the message to confirm if your Plastic Id is ready or not.

Good News as it was posted on the facebook page of NIMC. Dial *346#

On your MTN, Airtel, Etisalat and GLO to get National Identity Number (NIN), this enables fast registration. Do not forget that the code must be dialed on the same phone number used for BVN registration, as your National Identity Number is linked to your BVN. Visit the NIMC website for more information.

Please note as it was reported from the NIMC headquarter that the NIN is issued to you on a slip once you register successfully at a NIMC center, it is your MAIN identity in the National Identity Database and will gradually take over other means of identity in Nigeria, this is where the country is moving toward.

The country (Immigration Service) has done well by linking up with NIMC's NIN Verification platform to identify all citizens and foreigners applying for the passport. This will help Nigeria in security and other alarming areas. This is expected to be adopted by other data collection agency in Nigeria.
