EPL: Arteta gives Alexandre Lacazette advice
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been advised by former player Ray Parlour to cash in on Alexandre Lacazette to be able to fund other intending transfer deals this summer window.
Alexandre Lacazette has been speculated to be part of those that would make way from the Emirates Stadium this summer window as he had an inconsistent playing time in the just-concluded season.
Although the Spanish manager is yet to make any reaction to the speculations, he has made it clear that he will keep working with everyone until a decision is reached with the transfer window not closing until October 6.
Ray Parlour, therefore says that Alexandre Lacazette is the player that can help Arsenal earn some funds as he is already attracting interest from Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
The former Arsenal star claims you have to lose a player before you get another one, adding that there is a need for fresh legs at the Emirates Stadium.
While admitting that the former Lyon striker remains a decent player, Ray Parlour noted that Arsenal can boast of Eddie Nketiah who can step up to improve as a centre-forward.
However, Alexandre Lacazette is expected to play in Arsenal’s Community Shield game against Liverpool on Saturday at Wembley but that does not guarantee his stay at the club for the new season.
